KYTV's Not Available On Print Date

KYTV is back with a new multimedia performance in 2005.
We will be presenting a 20 mins preview on the 4th of Sept ( sun ) 2005_3pm at the Esplanade Theatre Studio as part of Sparks 3 presentation.

We would like to invite you for our performance, Tickets are free , as you can collect it at the door
or call us for the tickets. In this presentations, we will be working with new collaborators like

Sound Artist - Kenjiro Mastuo from Fukuoka(Japan), Vijay Singh aka MC sleepwalker and XYN from
Firefly-local fire twirling group. We hope that you can join us in this first presentation of our new
work. And subsequently, we will continue to work and developed to a full-length performance as KYTV main project for
2005 to 2006 with performance and collaborators in Japan and UK.

‘Not Available On Print Date’
A performance In-between error and delusion
The concept of this performance is based on the idea of absorbing
current media fancy and the contemporary environment that have become
common commodities in our daily lives. Sometimes we are subjugated and
defeated by the constant influx of information that encompassed our
mind. The result is interestingly apparent in the sub-cultural aspect
of ‘post modernisation.This performance seeks to re-think the position
of a performance piece in a form of transgression, recognising varied
aesthetics and re-appropriating the usage of multi-media in art.
In all, the main attribute to this performance is to discover the celebration of life and hope,
not purposefully creating an illusion but to discover the relationship of error and
delusion.

The common theme that is driven in this piece is the idea of
‘totality’, in terms of the physical inter-relationship with performers, video, lights, sound and the audience. In other words, the standpoint between the common and established ground is blurred in the process of presentation. The skeleton of the process is revealed through the act of disseminating information to the audience, which is seldom revealed in most performances. The performers spontaneity, naturalness and impulsiveness form the basis of inter-reaction with
the multi-media elements.

About “Not Available On Print Date”
The performance conceptual framework aims to take on an unusual
position as the performer and creator, as we hope to develop an
interchangeable structure of the performance whereby individual
segments can be re-arranged based on the responses and voting of the
audience members at the beginning of the performance.
An introduction/preview video with explanation of the entire
performance with the creators preferred sequence will be presented as
the introduction to the performance. After the audience have a brief
understanding of the performance, they will then vote for the desired
order of the performance. With consensuses from the audience votes, we
will then present the performance according to the audience preferred
sequence. Thus the performance will unfold in a different format each
time the work is presented. In this first presentation,
3 out of the 6 scenes will be presented to the audience as a work-in-progress showing.
