Reality Is Fancy!

Stoned Revivals invited me to play with myself at the Homemade Party, so I did as I was told. It felt like 1999.

I am pretty busy and I am not sure where to place myself, if I could only split my body into parts. I have to germinate in the dark in order to see the light.

Aimless Rant

I have been hybernating like a bear, been trying to get to the root of things, dealing with the self, environment, people, community and society. Finding a new studio is not easy, and I am spending the last couple of days at this studio squeezing every ounce of my creative energy out of this tired brain to come out with something interesting for whatever it may come.

This studio has spawned many ideas, arguments and discussions, many of the KYTV works were created out of nothing in this space. I have this gut feeling, our lovely landlord has sold this house for a couple of million dollars. Mothership has given a stern warning on getting a 'Real' job, reality is creeping in. I am a man with no CPF, how do I struggle against this system and to be free from any form of establishment or institution? (Oxymoronic statement, I believe) Writing down my occupation as an artist or performer or whatsoever with pride.

Live with it... an artist is self-employed, and is equivalent to an odd job labourer. I am hearing voices from every corner saying,
"Hey Rizman...wake up, get your shit together, stop dreaming, get a proper job, your time is up fool."

I am more stubborn than a mule...

The state of Bohemia is coming to an end, we have to make ends meet, I realised I have been working my ass off paying bills and rents. I love $ingapore!

A couple of days ago, I decided to turn on the TV, there was this programme called Living The Dreams. Another talent show with some of the judges from Singapore Idol (aren't there anymore judges left in Singapore?). It was depressing. I was not sure if I should cry or laugh my heads off. I am not sure if you want to achive your dreams by people deciding through sms voting. It is like a total 'What-The-Fuck? situation"

Yay!

The Randomness of Things

While I was chilling out with my 'strompol', I saw this Japanese boy sitting at the jetty.

Recently, I have been fascinated with clouds and sky, took this one at Ubin.

The Last Wayang Show last Friday at The Capitol, a side-show so called organised by the mighty council but with no budget at all. How nice...

Arrested Development last Saturday, they brought back memories from my high school days..." I need some time to ease my mind..." 90s Hip Hop is still the best...
