Net Drifter

Choy Ka Fai drifting in the space.

Its been a while, too busy drifting the net, we had a sold out show last night, packed to the brim, as I came out into the space I felt the mass body heat of 200 over people, there have been good responses so far, many were amazed, but this process of working with technology is pretty infuriating but when everything has been released out into the space, it felt like I was thrown into the milky way and drinking my bottle of milk upside down.

The muscle sensors have been my nemesis for the last couple of days, battling them like David and Goliath. Anyway, I have never worked in a project where my co-actors are 6 projectors, muscle sensors and a live band.

Tonight is the last night to catch Drift Net before we re-work on this piece for further development. Rock n Roll cyber space.

Drifting the net in skin tight pants

This when technology meets art... see you there!

The Forgotten Drawing

The drawing I did mid last year, in a show curated by Milenko Pravcki, we had to present works 10 x 10 cm, so I decided to doodle my way through. There you have it...

The Final Performance

I will be presenting a performance piece next wednesday as part of the Project Space installment in LaSalle-SIA, so come on down if you may.

The End of Goodman Road

Lasalle SIA College of The Arts, Goodman Road, they will be moving to a new campus next semester. This was the place where many things happened in my life, the first time I was introduced to Life Drawing, Charcoal Drawing, Oil Painting and Digital Imaging. The place where I met sweet old lovers in the dark, spooky stories and many other anecdotes. Where we climbed up to the rooftop and witness fireworks.

Where the same old faces greet you in exchange with their notion of contemporary art, where art jargons like methodology, surface, artificial, superficial, pretentious, free food, hot babes in hot pants and many other jargons.

Well, this is it, the final phase of my Masters, and we are throttling in full gear, no turning back... I can't wait to get back to my normal life, to meet old friends, visiting my mum or playing frisbee with a turtle in the park.

Dang, I can't wait for this final lap. I had lunch with a course mate of mine, he told me, there is no difference for me with or without masters, I will still be working on something. Well I told him, I have never really stopped doing what I have been doing, the fear of stopping and not knowing what to do scare the shit out of me. Even if you tie me down with a thick rope I will still be thinking of something.

Let's wait ... hooplah hey!

Erasure! Wild!

I grew up listening to Erasure, and Andy Bell is one of my early influences. The camp and the kitsch in unison! There is no reason to watch TV, because you have YOUTUBE and you can find all the relic and junk in the world. Blue Savannah is one of my favourite song ever by Erasure. Checkkit!
